2023-2024 SCHEDULE
The Virginia Tech Men's Club Volleyball schedule spans both the fall and spring. The spring season offers a multitude of tournaments in which teams have the chance to fight for a bid to the East Coast Championship tournament, and then the Men's Club Volleyball Nationals tournament. However, our fall season does not go to waste as many different schools host tournaments. These tournaments provide crucial experience for our teams, including a special tournament at the Michigan State called the Hardwood Classic.
2022-2023 CLUB RESULTS
The Hokies finished off another great season this past year. The A, B, and C teams all demonstrated that they were capable of playing at the highest possible level.
Fall
Starting off with our home tournament, the Hokies battled through Halloween antics to host an extremely successful exhibition. The A team placed 3rd overall, with our very own alumni team winning the tournament (Go Hokies!). The B and C teams each battled through their respective divisions, each earning top 5 finishes.
The cornerstone of our fall season can be encapsulated by the Michigan State Hardwood Classic. Our A and B team trekked up to Lansing Michigan to play some high quality ball, and stomp on some Big 10 competition. The A and B teams both made it into the gold bracket of their divisions and placed within the top 10 overall. The A team was the 2 seed overall going into the final round and ultimately fell to a very skilled Purdue team. The B team battled hard through the gold bracket but came up just short, narrowly losing to a Wisconsin team that went on to win the whole tournament. Great tournament and a very impressive showing from your boys in maroon!
Spring
During the winter, Liberty University hosted Virginia Tech for a televised 5 set match. This match was thrilling to watch, and the Hokies came out with a W in 5 sets! Highly recommend watching the recap here!

The spring continued with the A team traveling to Indiana to play against some of the top teams in the nation. This served as a pivotal tournament in their season as they got to witness the caliber of the teams they would eventually play later in the season.
Our B team went undefeated throughout the season, before the ECVA Championship. They won 2 straight tournaments, easily rolling through high quality teams like JMU B, Emory & Henry, Liberty B, and Elon. Before Nationals, our B team was ranked 5th in the nation.
Finally, our C team absolutely balled out this season, representing how incredible our club as a whole is. They were able to finish their season where they finished within the top 5 in multiple tournaments, and placed 9th overall in the ECVA Championship! They ended up being ranked 6th overall in the ECVA South DII Division.
Nationals:
Our Nationals experience was tremendous as always. We had a great time meeting other volleyball folks, and hanging out as a team. The A and B team both finished within the top 20 in the nation, for their respective division. It was a great experience and the Hokies are looking forward to making a deep run at Nationals next season!
